Project: Planet Hell

Quite different from the rest style-wise, but I loved this project! Promotion work for a fictional festival; I had to pick a song about Heaven or Hell and create a festival around that, including VJ looped animations, album artwork and merchandise.

I chose to work with colorful pixel art for a metal festival, because I find the contrast hilarious and most metalheads are into gaming as well.

The song 'Planet Hell' from Nightwish is the song I chose as inspiration for this project. I used to listen to this song when I was 13 years old, so it was some nice personal nostalgia.

The song is about Hell on Earth and a bit about the Gaia-theory as well; nature as heaven. So I created a fictional, nature-like environment with cute little creatures and massive worms.
